Cabinet Spokesman Nader Saad said that granting the 'Golden License" to as many as eight projects is a message of support to the private sector.
During a phone interview with Extra News satellite TV channel on Sunday evening, Saad noted that holders of the Golden License will do not have to obtain separate approvals from multiple government bodies. "More Golden Licence will be issued during the period ahead," the spokesman said, adding that applicants for this license are required to export at least 50 per cent of their production. The license is also given to hard currency-financed and clean energy-oriented projects, development projects in Upper Egypt, as well as the projects offering items that could replace imported products, the spokesman pointed out. He noted that the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones is the only body that receive applications for the Golden License. |
