Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir has asserted that the incidents Egypt witnessed from 2011 till 2016 badly affected the industrial sector.
During a session at the House of Representatives, the minister said the Russian-Ukrainian crisis caused high production costs and led to a shortage of commodities and an increase in their prices in the world market. He also said that Egypt's exports increased this year by 13 percent compared to 2021, pointing out that the Egyptian state took a number of measures to boost exports. He added that directives have been issued to facilitate the issuance of industrial licenses in line with the new laws in that respect. |
