Agriculture and Land Reclamation Minister el Sayyed el Quseir conferred with Vice President of Ivory Coast Tiémoko Meyliet Koné and Prime Minister Patrick Achi on means to boost ties between Egypt and Ivory Coast in the agricultural field.
This comes on the sidelines of the participation of Qusair, on behalf of Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, in a senior meeting on supporting the sustainability in the field of food and food security in Africa organized by Ivory Coast in cooperation with the AU Commission. Meanwhile, Quseir discussed with Achi horizons of cooperation between Egypt and Ivory Coast. Achi expressed wish to promote ties with Egypt especially in the agricultural sector due to its major expertise in this field especially in relation to the production of rice and strategic crops in addition to improving cocoa and tropical fruits. He also expressed desire to benefit from the Egyptian experience in the bank finance of projects via establishing a bank to fund small and medium enterprises. Meanwhile, Quseir asserted the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to offer all aspects of support to the African brothers in the different domains, pointing out to Egypt’s readiness to cooperate with Ivory Coast in the different domains including the fields of training, building abilities and applied researches, in addition to mechanisms for encouraging the private sector. |
