On the sidelines of the Climate Summit of the US-Emirati Initiative for Agricultural Innovation, which is currently being held in the US capital, Washington, Mr. Al-Qaseer, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, met with Mr. Thomas Vilsack, US Secretary of Agriculture.
The two ministers discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries and following up the technical files that is related to increase trade exchange, as well as benefiting from the American experience in the agricultural cooperation system and confronting the problem of fragmentation of agricultural tenure. During the meeting, Vilsack confirmed that the file of exporting Egyptian citrus to the American market would soon be completed. For his part, Al-Qusayr thanked Mr. Vilsack for inviting him to attend this important conference, which comes within the framework of the challenges facing the countries of the world. He also referred to the close cooperation between the two countries for a long time, stressing his continued support for the continuation of this cooperation, and that he would work closely with his American counterpart in advancing cooperation relations between the two countries in light of the strategic relations between Egypt and America. At the end of the meeting, Vilsack expressed his thanks and gratitude to Al-Qusayr for attending the climate initiative conference, stressing the continuation of cooperation between the two countries. The meeting was attended by Dr. Saad Musa, supervisor of foreign agricultural relations, and Dr. Muhammad Fahim, advisor to the Minister of Agriculture for Climate. |
