President of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) Waleed Gamal Eddin has announced that Platinum Industries, a leading PVC & CPVC additives manufacturer in India, has launched a project in Sokhna industrial zone with $20 million investments.
In a statement issued Friday 23/06/2023, the SCZONE said the launch of the project, to be carried out in August, came after fruitful meetings held by the SCZONE delegation for four days in India’s New Delhi and Mumbai to shed light on promising investment opportunities in the industrial zone and attract further Indian investments. Gamal Eddin said the project will be carried out over an area of 20,000 square meters to export 70% of the company’s products abroad, while the remaining 30% will meet the local markets’ needs. Several Indian companies are keen to invest in Egypt, Gamal Eddin said, adding that the industrial zone is important as an export hub for African markets. |
