Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli instructed the bodies concerned to work for securing citizens' needs of meat and food staples at consumer outlets nationwide, as part of the preparations under way for the Muslim feast of Eid ul-Adha (Festival of Sacrifice), to start.

Chairing a meeting of the Council of Governors, held via video conferencing with the participation of the Local Development Minister Hisham Amna, Madbouli also ordered authorities relevant to intensify their regular follow-up and supervision campaigns on markets and slaughterhouses.

The premier also emphasized that executive bodies in each governorate remain vigilant throughout the Eid and the June 30 Revolution anniversary holiday, which runs to ensure that there are no infringements on agricultural land or buildings, and take decisive action against violators.
