Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli hailed the fruitful cooperation between the Electricity and Renewable Energy Ministry and ACWA Power Saudi company in several spheres, especially a 10 gigawatt wind power project.
Madbouli also referred to the cooperation between the two sides in providing electricity to around 11 million housing units along with providing thousands of jobs . Madbouli's remarks came during his meeting Monday with ACWA Power CEO Marco Arcelli, on the sidelines of the signing of a document on land allocation for initiating studies on the development of a mega wind power plant in western Sohag, in Upper Egypt, with a capacity of 10 gigawatts. Talks between the two sides covered cooperation in water desalination projects. ACWA Power is a developer, investor, co-owner and operator of a portfolio of power generation and desalinated water production plants currently with presence in 10 countries including in the Middle East and North Africa, Southern Africa and South East Asia regions. |
