Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli followed up on the incentives and facilities offered for Egyptian expats across all sectors.
Chairing a meeting at the Cabinet's premises here on Sunday, in the presence of the ministers of labor and planning, and Governor of the Central Banks of Egypt Hassan Abdullah, Mabouli reviewed CBE's recent facilities for expats, including loans and mortgage financing, as well as many other initiatives supported by the bank to meet expats' needs. The meeting also took up a recent cabinet approval allowing expats who received payment orders under an expat duty-free car import initiative (84,000 persons) to complete bank transfer measures from abroad within one month and pay their deposit before getting an import approval, according to a statement by Cabinet Spokesman Nader Saad. The meeting also highlighted the importance of offering advanced training opportunities for Egyptian workers who are to be employed overseas, so they could have competitive advantages over their peers in the global labor market, the spokesman said. State Minister for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates' Affairs Soha Gendy and Finance Minister Mohamed Maait attended the meeting via videoconferencing. |
