Finance Minister Mohamed Maait underscored the importance of tapping new vistas of boosting trade relations with Turkey, which is considered the sixth largest destination of Egyptian exports, estimated at 3.2 billion dollars and the third largest exporting country to Egypt with three billion dollars and a major country in foreign investment in Egypt in 2022 with 103.5 million dollars.
Maait was participating in the Turkish-Arab Economic Forum in Istanbul, Turkey . He said as many as 790 Turkish companies are working in Egypt with investments, worth 2.5 billion dollars in several sectors. Maait said he is looking forward to developing and deepening bilateral cooperation relations in various fields. The current global economic crises doubled the importance of international and regional partnerships as the locomotive of economic and social development, according to him. There is a package of incentives to attract the local and foreign private sector to invest and do business in Egypt, added the minister. |
