Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli inspected, during his tour the factory of German Lebanese Company for Paints (GLC) in Obour City.
He was accompanied by Trade Minister Ahmed Samir and Executive Director of General Authority of Free Zones and Investment (GAFI). The prime minister was received by GLC Executive Director Mohamed Abdel Fattah el Hout. Hout pointed out that the company manufactures all kinds of paints, adding that the total investment of the group is EGP 2.5 billion divided to 50% Egyptian and 50% Lebanese and the volume exports is 20 million dollars as the company exports to more than 13 African countries. The company is one of the biggest companies investing in Egypt and works in the field of chemical industries, he said, adding that it is one of the biggest companies in Egypt and Africa. Hout also said that the company is going to pump 25-million-dollar new investments in the coming period and provide more than 1000 new job opportunities. Madbouli also inspected the new expansions in the factory which include three new halls on the area of 25,000 meters. At the end of his tour, Madbouli asserted presenting different means of support to contribute to new expansions of the factory and work on increasing production and exports. |
