The Egyptian government’s revenues surged 29.5 percent year-on-year to EGP 335.13 billion ($10.83 billion) during the first three months of the fiscal year (FY) 2023/2024, according to data released by the Ministry of Finance.
The Egyptian government targets collecting EGP 2.14 trillion in revenues in the FY2023/2024 budget, including EGP 1.53 trillion in taxes. The government’s revenues have been steadily increasing in the past years, as shown in the following graph. |
