Finance Minister and Head of the General Authority for Comprehensive Health Insurance Mohamed Maait said that the system of comprehensive health insurance will be applied in new governorates in 2024, adding that the system is growing with steady steps to achieve the dream of the Egyptians to expand the umbrella of the comprehensive healthcare to include all family members.
While chairing the authority, Maait asserted the importance of increasing the efforts of digital transformation and expansion in the smart solutions to promote governance and facilitate presenting services for the beneficiaries. President Abdel Fattah El Sisi pays a lot of attention to following up the executive situation of the comprehensive health insurance and reiterates the necessity to provide enough guarantees for financial sustainability to contribute to non-stop offering of presenting health services via this developed system. The financial situation of the authority is good and encouraging to continue the historic drive and further spread the new system in partnership with the concerned bodies, he said, noting that the efforts of the state which aim at increasing the efficiency of the infrastructure and health facilities encourage geographical expansion in the different governorates. |
