Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat had a meeting with Singaporean Minister for Communications and Information Josephine Teo to discuss boosting bilateral cooperation in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) and outsourcing fields.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the "Asia Tech Summit", hosted by Singapore from May 29 to 31. Talaat expressed his aspiration to enhance joint cooperation in the area of technological innovation, along with backing startups and innovators in finding innovative technological solutions. He also expressed keenness on enhancing cooperation between Egypt's Applied Innovation Center (AIC) and its counterpart institutions in Singapore. Egypt has young talents in the technology sphere, the minister said, adding Singaporean companies could benefit from its extensive expertise in implementing digitization projects and setting up outsourcing centers in Egypt. For her part, the Singaporean minister welcomed cooperation between Egypt and Singapore in the communications and IT domains. She underlined the most prominent institutions concerned with research and development in the AI field in Singapore that could cooperate with the AIC. Talaat also participated in a roundtable on "online safety policies and procedures". |
