Ambassador Omar Amer, Egypt's Ambassador to Athens, hosted Ms. Olga Kefalogianni, the Greek Minister of Tourism, at the embassy.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Egypt and Greece in the tourism sector, particularly joint promotion of tourist destinations in both countries. They also explored the possibility of exchanging tourism expertise to stimulate bilateral tourism, develop joint tourism programs, and market them internationally. Additionally, they discussed increasing direct flights to Sharm El-Sheikh and Alexandria to attract more Greek tourists to Egypt. The Greek Minister of Tourism commended Egypt's significant progress in developing its tourism sector and acknowledged Egypt's expertise in this vital field. She expressed her eagerness to leverage this expertise, given the unique relationship between Egypt and Greece. |
