Scope | The main objectives of acquiring and processing the 3D seismic data are: - To provide seismic data sets that allow improved structural mapping of the Jurassic and to understand fracture corridors through azimuthal anisotropy as a minimum, and to allow proper noise attenuation and multiple removal. - The objectives can vary from providing data sets suitable for reservoir characterization, through stratigraphic interpretation to structural mapping. - The primary target is the Jurassic fractured reservoirs, imaging the top of Middle Marrat and intra reservoir units (14,000 to 17,500 ft) and the Najmah/Sargelu formation (12,000 to 15,500 ft). A vertical resolution to resolve units of about 100-150ft thicknesses within Middle Marrat is desirable. - The secondary objective is the resolution at the lower cretaceous reservoirs (8,000 to 10,000 ft). Imaging of the deep Permian (around 20,000 ft) for structural purpose is also required. - The survey designs will be determined by mutual consent betweethe company and the contractor and may vary from area to area to ensure that the survey objectives are met. The program comprises of acquiring and processing 3D single sensor seismic data in North the country, but not by way of limitation covering the following full fold migrated areas: - Sabiriyah and Raudhatain750 km2). - Bahrah (400 k2). - Abdali (425 km2). - Ladira-Aluja (960 km2). - SE Ratqa (360 km2). |
