Scope | The consultant is to provide geomechanical modeling of steam Injection in the field lower fars. The project will focus on the 3D geomechanical modeling of lower fars in the north covering an area of approximately 150 sq km and shall be completed during 2010. This will include the model building, model calibration and validation, and subsequently used for steam flood simulation. The study to be based on the data of not less than 13 selected wells. The validity of developed model will be verified with the steam injection pilot. The services to be conducted on two (2) phases as follows: Phase-1 - Data collection and geomechanical model building · Predict field-scale sanding potential for optimizing drilling and completions. · Develop 3D geomechanical model of Lower Fars. · Perform coupled reservoir geomechanics simulations, to provide more accurate analysis of pressure and temperature distribution in the reservoir. · Predict more realistically, the directionality of steam and pressure fronts and their progression rate for optimizing injection operations and steam-flood design (well spacing etc). · Predict surface heave and deformation of underlying layers during steam injection for safe injection operations and minimize the risk of Caprock and Mid Shale failure. · Predict reservoir compaction during production to assess casing and well integrity and reduce long term re-completion and well-intervention costs. Phase-2 - Geomechanical model calibration and validation The Consultant shall perform geomechanical model calibration and validation, and subsequently used for steam flood simulation. |
