Scope | The scope of Services comprises HAZID and Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) studies to be conducted for two Gathering Centers GC-27 & GC-28 in the west area of the country. These studies shall be performed in parallel for both the Gathering Center-27 and Gathering Center-28. HAZID Studies shall be as under: - HAZID studies shall be carried out to identify any potential hazards in both the GCs. This study shall be conducted at a suitable location close to the site at West of the country thereby ensuring maximum participation from field personnel. - The Consultant shall use available HAZOP reports and documentation as well as conduct meeting with the concerned personnel to identify the potential hazards. - The Consultant shall furnish a Hazard Identification report which will be used as base document for conducting QRA studies. QRA studies shall be as under: i) The Consultant shall be required to spend majority of the time in both the GCs for collecting data and necessary inputs required to conduct the studies. ii) Quantify the risks from the hazards (primarily for gas dispersion, explosion overpressure, fire and smoke and toxic gas). iii) Carry out Consequence Analysis for the identified hazards covering Escalation analysis and Impact analysis. iv) Determine hazard event frequencies. v) Develop Risk Contours & Societal Risk. vi) Plot Risk Contour on GC site plans. vii) Provide detailed information on the characteristics of blast waves at buildings close to the selected units. viii) Establish that appropriate hazard prevention, control and mitigation measures are in place. Compare risk levels against risk-acceptance criteria and make initial recommendations for additional or improved risk reduction. measures as required. |
