Scope | The contractor shall provide necessary tools, equipment and personnel for the performance of services in straight / lateral wells as described below: Fishing Services Casing Repair Thru-tubing Services Rental of tools The contractor acknowledges that fishing operation requires thorough planning in order to have minimum possible trips and thus save rig time and money. This entails determination of best fishing tool / method to be used. Contractor shall suggest, the optimum fishing method and the tools involved, to the company for approval before performing the services. Optimum fishing method means the fastest and most cost-effective method for retrieving the fish. However, the company shall assist the contractor with the relevant information enabling him to determine optimum fishing method such as operational summary just before the complication occurred, hole profile, specifications of fishing string such as OD /ID, weight per foot (PPF) and length of each component and prevailing down hole conditions. The contractor acknowledges that each fishing attempt shall impact the fish and the hole. Therefore contractor, while determining the optimum fishing method, shall ensure provision for alternate fishing options and shall also be ready with the successive fishing strategy if the first option does not succeed. The contractor shall provide comprehensive range of Fishing Services for open and cased hole applications that shall include but not be limited to following: - Fishing of Small Objects / Junk: Small objects / Junk include bit cones, tong dies, slip inserts, broken slip segment, reamer parts, hand tools or any other debris that can hamper normal drilling operations. - Fishing of Drilling & Other Downhole Assemblies: Recovery of drilling assemblies stuck in the hole due to downhole complications such as sloughing, caving, key seat, differential sticking, stuck up due to bit slippage into fractured section, stuck to the wall with no free point above the fish, a metal object dropped in the hole resulting stuck up of drilling assembly and the like. Recovery of washed out downhole assemblies Recovery of parted pipe Recovery of fish, amongst other methods such as using taps, overshot, spear, washing over, jarring and the like, may involve determination of free-point, back-off or cut. - Fishing of Small Diameter Tubulars (tubing), Packers and Plugs: Contractor shall at all time during the contract keep itself informed about the various completions being run by the company. The contractor shall endeavour to maintain the associated fishing tools pursuant to manufacturer’s recommendations such as special tools for many completion packers, ball valve assemblies and the like. Recovery of stuck tubing due to dehydrated or contaminated mud, sand-stuck tubing, sticking due to frozen packer, crooked pipe sticking, twisting and wrap-around of multiple tubing strings and the like. Retrieval of stuck packers and plugs including freeing the packer, releasing the packer per manufacturer’s recommendation in case of retrievable packer, milling over and retrieving a permanent packer etc., Retrieval of Test Tools: Test tools, usually the conventional open-hole drill-stem test tools, are run under jars and are freed with jarring if stuck. However sometimes it is necessary to mill over the tool for instance dropping of junk on top of the test tool that cannot be bypassed being the tools full gauge. - Fishing of Wireline: Retrieval of stuck / parted Wireline or logging tools. - Casing Repair: The scope includes but shall not be limited to following: Restore the casing I.D. in case of collapsed casing using roller / swage. Repair the split / parted casing using external / internal patch. Repair a parted /collapsed casing using string mill and casing alignment tool. - Thru-Tubing Services: The scope includes but shall not be limited to following: contractor shall provide comprehensive thru-tubing solutions such as fishing, milling, cleanout and casing exit. |
