Scope | The Contractor shall deliver Nitrogen gas of quality as specified in the Contract to the Company's West operational areas and any other Area / location as directed by the Superintendent within the State of Kuwait in its own vehicles, in such quantities and at anytime as and when directed by the Company. The Contractor shall provide the vehicles to transport the Nitrogen gas from the Contractor's facilities to the Site. The vehicles shall be maintained as per the Company approved standard and Contractor shall present the vehicles for Company’s inspection as and when directed by the Company. The Company shall notify its requirement through a Service Order. The Contractor shall deliver to the site the quantities of Nitrogen notified to him within three (3) hours of receipt of Company’s Service Order for the quantities required in respect of all locations within West Kuwait Area. If the Contractor fails to provide the required quantities within the periods stated, the Company shall have the right to purchase such quantities from other Contractors and debit the Contractor with the expenses and overheads incurred. At times, the Company may use its own road haulage equipment to transport its Nitrogen gas requirements from the Contractor's facilities to the Site. In such event, the Company shall give at least eight (8) hours prior notice to the Contractor specifying its requirements and the Contractor shall provide the Company's requirements for Nitrogen gas promptly and shall ensure that the Company’s road haulage equipment is ready to depart with the Nitrogen gas within a maximum of two hours from arrival at the Contractor's facilities. The Contractor shall nominate members of his staff who shall be able to converse in Arabic and English, and who shall be available on the telephone to respond to the Company's requirements twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week throughout the Contract Period. The Contractor shall keep a log book of the calls received which as a minimum shall provide details of, date, time, quantities required, names and badge number of person making and receiving the calls and Site location for the delivery. The Superintendent shall notify the Contractor in writing of the names of Company personnel authorized to request and sign for the supply and delivery of bulk Nitrogen. In order to meet the Company's requirements, the Contractor shall maintain at all times a minimum of one trailer containing not less than 160,000 cu. ft. of the Nitrogen gas which shall be made available on request and ready to respond promptly to meet such requirements. Nitrogen gas to be supplied to the Company shall be of 99.9% minimum purity and of 2000-2400 p.s.i.g. pressure. The purity of each Nitrogen gas consignment shall be certified by an independent Contractor appointed third party inspection laboratory. The Contractor shall ensure that its third party inspection laboratory submits test certificate directly to the Superintendent with every Nitrogen gas consignment stating and confirming the said purity of the consignment supplied to the Company. The test certificate shall also include consignment details such as name of the requester, consignment and vehicle references, date of the consignment, delivery location and the like. |
