Scope | The surveys include geotechnical, geomorphologic and geophysics investigation. Geomorphologic and geophysical survey (sealines, fixed platform, subsea well, ssiv, plet and subsea flowline) The geomorphologic and geophysical surveys and associated sampling and testing shall include: - the investigation of the seabed morphology - investigation of the stratigraphic profile - geotechnical investigation of the shallow layers - investigation of environmental conditions. The equipment for shallow geotechnical investigation shall include: - piston sampler, 3” diameter - push sampler, 3” and 2” diameter - seabed cone penetrometer apparatuses mounting standard 10 cm2 tip, 150 cm2 friction sleeve, with pore pressure measurements (pcpt); the apparatuses shall be suitable for a range of soil conditions ranging from soft clays to hard clays and from loose sands to dense sands. Mini cone tests (mct), typically having 1 - 2 cm2 tip shall not be used - seabed cone penetrometer apparatuses mounting standard 10 cm2 tip, 150 cm2 friction sleeve, wave velocities measurements (spcpt); the apparatuses shall be suitable for a range of soil conditions ranging from soft clays to hard clays and from loose sands to dense sands. Mini cone tests (mct), typically having 1 - 2 cm2 tip shall not be used - conventional drilling and cpt equipment operated from a jack-up platform may be used instead of seabed equipment in the near shore area in water depths up to 15. |
