This award is BP’s largest single exploration award globally. BP is establishing an office in Tripoli. Drilling Operations are planned to commence in June 2010. In support to the planned onshore operations BP Libya now wishes to appoint a contractor to provide one water well rig capable of drilling the water wells effectively & safely in Onshore Ghadames with associated services including but not limited to camp, catering.etc. The proposed water wells programme including 4 water wells to be drilled within the Q2, 2010. It is scheduled to spud the first well in March 2010. The timely procurement of the rig with experienced crews will be a critical success factor in this challenge. This information will then be used by BP Libya to identify potential contractors to participate in a future competitive tender for this work. Attachment “A” Out Line Contract Scope: A water rig to undertake a drilling of 4 water wells to satisfy the drilling campaign needs in the Ghadames region of south western Libya (refer to the attached map) The water wells drilling contractor will be responsible for & provide the following services - Water well rig - Rig camp - Transportation / rig move Options will be included under the proposed contract: - Turn key project excluding casing The rig specification will be selected to ensure that the rig is correctly sized for the drilling programme so that drilling operations can be effectively conducted in well depths down to a minimum of 3600ft. the anticipated rig specification is: - Minimum of 600 HP - Two mud pumps - Enough height to accommodate diverter / BOP’s system due to gas hazard - 700 bbls mud system Attachment “B” Questionnaire 1- Please advise whether you are interested in participating in a competitive tender for the supply of water well drilling rig for onshore Libya. 2- Please advise the availability of suitable water well rig to meet BP outline specification for the required rig.
