Scope of Work: The basic scope of work for the engineering services for the gas processing plant control system modernization project can be summarized as following: 1- Conduct on side verification and assessment of the existing control room and field equipment (including junction boxes) so as to cover100% of the plant units. 2- Prepare the detailed engineering specifications for the required digital equipment (material list and data sheets) so as to be ready for procurement of this equipment for the plant controls modernization project including both control room (ICS, SIS) and field instruments. 3- Provide the detailed specifications for a dual UPS arrangement for the new system. 4- Update existing plant drawings and documents by transferring from hard copies to soft (electronic) copies to accommodate the preference by vendors concerning system data presentation. 5- Develop and specify the switch over strategy whereby the new control equipment is phased in to the existing control room "with minimum disruption" while the existing plant is kept operational. 6- Recommend training program for engineers operators and maintenance personnel at manufacturer’s premises, on job or other training venues, for reasonable periods. 7- Supply list of most reputable manufacturers for most reliable system in the market. 8- Provide an estimated budget for replacement of all items identified or required to update the plant. 9- Prepare a draft final report for review and comments by the north gas company and then submit a final report incorporating or addressing such comments. |
