Scope | EPIC FOR UPGRADE OF TURBINE CONTROL SYSTEMS AT PS-2 & PS-3; The existing Mark-2 turbine control panels on Siemens power generators at PS-2 and PS-3 were declared obsolete effective from year 2013 as per OEM (Siemens). The scope of work comprises mainly of the following items: a)Carry out the engineering, procurement, assembly, factory testing, delivery, installation, pre-commissioning, site acceptance tests, commissioning, and start-up of total eight (8) fully assembled SIMATIC S7-400F/FH based control panels for Gas Turbine Driven Power Generator Packages. b)Replace existing AB vibration monitoring systems with Bently Nevada 3500 series vibration monitoring systems on all the seven (7) TB-5000 power generators at PS-2 and PS-3. c)Replace existing auxiliary DC cabinets which include DC lube oil pump control at PS-2 and PS-3 TB5000 control rooms with a suitable one with new relays and terminals. d)Supply and install a colour, high resolution, network ready, inkjet printer at each power generator control building. e)Provide warning and shutdown alarms for air intake high differential pressure. f)Amend the current set up where the complete power supply to the Control Panel is switched-off at times of Fire Detection, ESD conditions etc leaving the panel isolated. Instead TCP shall retain the power and isolate power only to the field devices, except the power to the emergency lube oil pump. h)Design the emergency lube oil pump control logic to allow continued running under fire conditions for the period set by timer relay. A special emergency stop button shall be provided on the panel to stop the pump manually if necessary. i)Supply and install suitable antivirus detection system and fire walls for each new turbine control system to protect it against cyber attacks and viruses. j)Provide full interface facilities (monitoring and control) with the existing ABB Power Management System (PMS). Communication between the TCP/GCP and the PMS shall be via ETHERNET TCP/IP or ETHERNET MODBUS/TCP. k)Submit the project Dossier with complete project documentation, technical manual, data sheets, As-Built drawings and comprehensive final closeout report and duly filled SPIR sheets with necessary supportive documents. l)Supply of commissioning spares. m)Provide full time classroom training for QP Operations and Maintenance personnel as necessary, covering all aspects of the control system.
