| Scope | The company bids for the supply, installation and commissioning of a Hermetically Sealed6.3MVA 66/3.3KV Transformer at PS21 Nairobi Terminal The scope of works shall include the following:- - Carrying out all necessary civil modifications works in the substation to allow for foundation support of the transformer. - Supply and delivery of a hermetically sealed 6.3MVA 66/3.3Kv transformer to Nairobi Terminal main store. - Lifting and installation of the transformer onto the supporting foundation. - Modification of existing surge diverters supports to supply the transformer. - Excavation of trenching for all required cabling, laying of protective slabs and reinstatement of all excavated areas to the company representative’s satisfaction. - Laying and termination of all cables from the transformer to the switch room. - Termination of existing overhead conductors to the transformer. - Carry out an analysis of existing protection scheme and determine suitability to proposed transformer including cabling, panel terminations and protection relays. - Carrying out comprehensive pre commissioning and commissioning tests on the transformer. - The Tenderer shall be required to supply and carry out installation for all the works with minimal interruption to the company’s normal operations. - The Tenderer, together with a team of three (3) No. engineers, shall be required to carry out a structured and comprehensive factory acceptance test (FAT) and site acceptance test (SAT) and sign the relevant forms. - The Tenderer shall ensure that before the completion of the project, at least four copies of the relevant manuals and documentation, including as built drawings are availed to the company in hard and software forms. - The Tenderer shall offer a comprehensive and complete factory training for six (6 No.) maintenance staff. The content and depth of the training shall be agreed with the company. - On award of the contract, the Tenderer shall develop and present to the company, within two weeks, a comprehensive functional design specification (FDS)document which shall address all functions as stated in this tender document. Any omissions of the functions shall be re-instated, when noted by the company at any time in the contract, by the Contractor at no additional cost to the company. - The Tenderer shall propose the estimate implementation period from the date of contract signing to project commissioning. The project implementation schedule shall be provided. - The Tenderer shall be required to carry out own surveys of the site in order to come out with a complete quotation before tendering. Where existing installations are deemed not sufficient for successful commissioning of the transformer, the tender shall outline all additional works and materials required and give detailed costing for each item. - The Tenderer shall provide in their tender two years’ worth of maintenance spares as recommended by equipment manufacturer. - The Tenderer shall provide in their tender any special maintenance tools required. - The Tenderer shall provide in their tender a warranty of at least 1 year. |
