| Scope | The company invites bids for the provision of specialized Inspection and Corrosion personnel and Services. The details of services scope are as follows:- a) When notified, testing of bottom plates of designated tanks within or outside the production facilities shall be carried out using Magnetic Flux Leakage Technique. b) The scope of work as specified herein under shall include but not limited to carrying out thickness survey of the storage tank bottom using Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) technique. The survey shall cover the entire tank bottom plate. The areas having material loss 20% and more shall be marked by permanent marker at site. c) The defects identified by the scanner shall be inspected using the ultrasonic testing. d) All the inaccessible areas including but not limited to the corners close to the shell-to-bottom joints, around internal structures, inside the draw off sumps and the likes shall be tested by 100% ultrasonic testing. Besides, about 3” wide areas on either side of every lap joint all along shall also be tested and assessed 100% using ultrasonic testing. e) Surface preparation of tank bottom by way of blast cleaning / power brushing, if required, will be carried out by the Company. |
