The company announces its need for Prequalification for Corrosion Inhibitors. Prequalification for Corrosion Inhibitors Corrosion is one of the problems that all operating companies face due the corrosive nature of the fluids and gases they handle. Corrosive species present in them are, acidic gases H2S and CO2, salinity of the water and bacteria. All of them contribute to corrosion of the system. The well fluids has got oil water and gas, which all flow through the same flow line. In Multiflow systems the flow regime depends on many factors, one of them is the oil to water ratio. When the has got low oil and high water, the chances of the flow line to remain water wet is high that raises the potential to corrode is high. When the flow regime falls under stratified or annular the risk potential gets amplified. Corrosion through acidic gases, organic acids and bacterial fouling are the causes for the internal corrosion of the Multiflow System.
