Egyptian exports during July 2011 have increased by 21 % to reach $2.67 billion (about L.E. 15.9 million) from $ 2.2 billion during the same month of 2010. This was announced by Gen Abu Bakr Al Gindi, Head of CAPMAS - Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics. The same figure was also confirmed by the data of the General Authority for Exports and Imports Control. On the other hand, imports during the months have declined to L.E. 29.5 million driving the foreign trade deficit during the month to decline to reach L.E. 13.5 billion. N.B. The development confirms that the country is on its way to reach the earlier announced target of L.E. 200 billion annual export by the end of 2012.
