Egypt's Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade reviewing, with CEO of HSBC, on the side of Dafos Forum held recently in Jordan, means and ways to support Egyptian exports of promising products and services to the UK. This was reported in the media indicating that Minister, Dr. Mahmoud Issa, has further stressed the need for HSBC expertise to help promoting Egyptian investment opportunities among UK investors. On his side CEO of the HSBC was quoted stating that studies prepared by the Bank on the Egyptian economy, over the next 15 years, showed it will be among the strong economies. He identified two major issues as being the main obstacles hindering investments in the country including unclear taxation policies and slow tempo of completing relevant investment formalities.
