Industry and Foreign Trade Minister Dr. Mahmoud Eissa will participate in the ministerial meeting of world trade organization WTO to be held in Geneva on December 15-17. 153 world delegations will take part in this meeting. Eissa said he will urge senior officials and countries representatives to encourage investments in Egypt and establish new projects to support the Egyptian economy, Egypt will act to have both Palestine and the Arab League receive observer status in all committees and organizations of WTO. On issues to be tackled by the meeting, Eissa said the issues are based on three axes first the development of Doha round for development, the multi-lateral trade system and the third is trade and development.
Eissa said he would deliver Egypt's speech before the ministerial meeting. He will concentrate on Egypt's stance, which supports the multi-lateral trade system and urging world countries not to exercise unjust acts limiting down the freedom of trade. Eissa added he will stress the negotiations on free trade to have Doha round for development to work out and eliminating challenges facing it in order to achieve tangible results concerning the development dimension.
