The government is committed to all the pledges it had made to all parties in the private sector, said Minister of industry and Foreign Trade Mahmoud Eissa. "The government attaches special importance to establishing an atmosphere proper for investments, particularly national ones," said Eissa during a meeting with a delegation from the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC) under Ahmed al-Wakeel.
The Minister said that ministerial committees set up by Prime Minister Kamal al-Ganzouri are exerting utmost efforts to remove obstacles impeding investors. "The government has no plans to ban imports out of Egypt's respect for its international commitments but there are measures to implement quality specifications in order to protect Egyptian consumers as well as industry," said Eissa.
