Prime Minister, Dr. Kamal Al-Ganzoury, held ministerial meeting on legalizing situations of the state lands in attendance of Ministers of Planning and International Cooperation, Housing, Finance, Water Resources and Irrigation, Agriculture, and Heads of the Agricultural Development Authority, and Head of the Urban Planning Authority.
Dr. Al-Ganzoury reviewed the housing ministry plan concerning the national housing and social housing project, as well as discussing legalization of the desert lands being infringed, and lands on Cairo-Ismailia Road, Cairo-Alexandria Road especially lands which changed activity from agricultural to real estate or investment. The government has no intention to take lands from investors who carried projects even by violation, but the state will regain its full right especially with lands which were sold with prices less than their value in the time of sale and modify the price differences, as well as with lands which changed the activity from agricultural to housing, entertainment, industrial or investment. A meeting will be held the coming week to follow-up on decrees enforcement that was approved. The committee reviewed three main issues; The plan of the housing ministry on the social housing projects for limited income Legalization of the state lands that were infringed Legalization of lands located at Cairo-Alexandria Road and Cairo-Ismailia Road. These lands can be planted but their activity changed from agricultural to real estate and entrainment. The Minister of Housing stated that the decreed some of money allocated for the national housing projects amounting to EGP 25,000 will be provided, aiming to deliver the rest of housing units reaching 70,000 units. The committee approved the new social housing project for the limited income, the housing minister said, adding that the armed forces have already started construction of more 20,000 than in Al-Arab and Helwan Towers. The committee has tackled the setting of strategic plan to develop the area between 10th of Ramadan City and Al-Obour of 19490 acres, where a presidential decree was issued in this concern to be merged to Al-Obour city. The plan aims at legalizing lands occupancies in this area so that the agricultural activity will be continued in the planted area, and in case of activity change the state will take its right namely violations removal. The Housing Minister confirmed that many apartments taken by thugs were regained and the rest amount to 250 units. He added that the government will not take any lands from investors only by law. The Minister of Agriculture mentioned that the meeting discussed legalization of lands located at Cairo-Alexandria desert road from 42 km – 82 km where the agricultural activity has changed to urban, entrainment, and investment ones. The state will take its right namely the differences in the agricultural land prices changed to resorts as the law allows 2% of lands for building along to violation fees. The amount of money will be paid by the anchor investor whom the land was allocated to him and cannot be transferred to the beneficiary, tenant, owner or the final beneficiary and legal procedures will be notified to the investor in case of non-payment not the final beneficiary. The agriculture minister confirmed that the government will not allow any violation on the agricultural lands especially that violations reached more than 50,000 acres. The irrigation minister said that no irrigation or wells drilling violations without license or over-irrigation method or withdrawal from aquifer water will be allowed. |
