The UAE's Assistant Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs Khalid Ghanem Al-Ghaith reiterated the UAE's interest in boosting bilateral relations with Kyrgyzstan in all spheres. "Relations between the two countries have recently seen significant growth," Al-Ghaith said upon concluding a visit to Kyrgyzstan.
An agreement was signed during the visit between the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) and Kyrgyz Ministry of Transport to fund road construction projects in Kyrgyzstan. The AED 50 million agreement, which was signed by Kyrgyz Minister of Transport and Communications Sultanov Kalykbek Imanalievich and Director General of ADFD Mohammed Saif Al-Suwaidi, is part of the UAE's policy, which mandates assisting developing countries. Ways to promote the UAE-Kyrgyz relations and investments in particular were discussed during Al-Ghaith's meetings with Kyrgyzstan's Vice Prime Minister Djoomart Otorbaev and Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbaev. Kyrgyz officials expressed interest in benefiting from the UAE's experience in order to promulgate legislations to create favorable environment for investments in Kyrgyzstan. The UAE delegation to Kyrgyzstan took part in flydubai's - Dubai-based low-fare carrier- launching ceremony of Dubai's low-fare carrier's flights to Bishkek city, its 50th destination. |
