His Majesty King Abdullah II received Patriarch of all Georgia Ilia II, who is currently on a visit to the Kingdom. The King stressed keenness to forge closer cooperation with Georgia in various fields for the common interest of both peoples.
The King and the patriarch also emphasized the need to promote the values of tolerance, dialogue and understanding among followers of all religions. Patriarch IIia II also conveyed to His Majesty greetings of Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili as well as his keenness to further boost relations with Jordan in various domains. The meeting was attended by Royal Court Chief Riyad Abu Karaki as well Director of the King's Office Imad Fakhoury. |
