Dr. Kamal Al-Ganzoury Received Hamdy Abdel Aziz

Prime Minister, Dr. Kamal Al-Ganzoury, received Board Chairman of the Engineering Industries Chamber, Hamdy Abdel Aziz, affiliating the Egyptian Industries Federation, and Head of the Engineering Industries Export Council. The meeting followed up on problems facing the chamber and companies working in this sector amounting to 3500 with investments EGP 117 billion.

Board Chairman stated that the sector faces various problems and challenges although it enjoys several possibilities that help it contributing in the national projects carried including electricity, energy, water, sanitation and railways. He added that there are problems facing the medical equipments and requirements sector including the inability to obtain required licenses to start production, along to customs reduction on imports. During the meeting, Abdel Aziz presented suggestion on integrated project namely using computers in the educational process as being applied in some developing countries aiming to raise the educational culture, and reduce the paper traditional prints.

Head of the Exports Council said that he presented a project on education and IT progress to achieve leap in the educational process development, and opens the internet world before the inability categories of students with affordable prices. Such project, he said, can achieve leap in the strategic industries such as electronics, data, computers and software and communications industry, and will achieve returns of EGP 18 billion in the local market over three years, along to export returns not less than EGP 18 billion. He noted that the project will provide 300,000 jobs for 6000 companies, and it depends on open origin technologies that will help research and development centers to create and design Egyptian systems and software.
