His Majesty King Abdullah II received Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Filippo Grandi. His Majesty hailed UNRWA’s efforts in supporting the Palestinians and alleviating their suffering, especially in the Gaza strip. During the meeting, the King stressed Jordan’s support for efforts to provide financial aid for UNRWA, urging all Arab and international institutions to fulfill their social responsibilities toward the Palestinian refugees. Grandi briefed the King on UNRWA’s projects, expressing his appreciation for the level of coordination between Jordan and the Organization to continue its mission in providing services for the refugees. The meeting was attended by foreign minister Nasser Judeh and Director of the King's Office Imad Fakhoury.
