Prime Minister Kamal el-Ganzouri gave directives to adopt an urgent plan to develop the spinning and weaving industry and ready-to-wear clothes. This came during a Cabinet meeting held on 25/3/2012 under Ganzouri to develop the weaving industry in Egypt.
The meeting was attended by Planning and International Cooperation Minister Fayza Abul-Naga and Industry and Foreign Trade Minister Mahmoud Eissa. Ganzouri, meanwhile, called for pumping new investments into four weaving factories to modernize equipment and improve their competitiveness.
