Mohammed Ahmed Al-Murr, Speaker of UAE Federal National Council (FNC), met his Ugandan counterpart Rebecca Kadaga on the sideline of the 126th Assembly of the Inter- Parliamentary Union (IPU). The meeting explored avenues of joint cooperation and exchange of expertise between the two houses. Ways of boosting relations in areas of economy, investment and tourism were also discussed. The speaker of the Ugandan Parliament praised the UAE's support for Uganda which has good bonds with the UAE. A direct daily flight service between the two countries was launched recently. Uganda is hosting the 126th Assembly of the Inter- Parliamentary Union (IPU) from 31 March to 5 April 2012.
