Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Fayza Abul-Naga said in a statement on 31 March 2012 that the governor of the Central Bank of Egypt will announce within a week the program of the deposit instruments for workers abroad. The program will be allocated for Egyptians living abroad and trading in it is expected to reach one billion dollars, Abul-Naga added. Deposit instruments together with the sale of lands to the Egyptian expatriates will contribute to maximize foreign exchange revenues and reduce the budget deficit, she added.
Fayza added that an initiative was launched on the internet to put for subscription lands in the new cities for Egyptians abroad. Visitors who accessed the website reached 55,000 in number and those who applied for buying lands reached 483, she announced.
