Prime Minister Kamal al Ganzouri held a meeting on 31 March 2012 of the financial and economic affairs committee. The ministers of planning, international cooperation, supply and internal trade, finance, industry and foreign trade and petroleum and the governor of the Central Bank of Egypt were present.The meeting discussed the Egyptian economic situation and preparations for reaching an agreement with the International Monetary Fund over a loan to be extended to Egypt.Discussions also dwelt on means to redress the deficit in the state budget.
