Minister of Electricity and Energy Hassan Yunis said on 2/5/2012 that Egypt has completed power projects established in South Sudan and successfully extended electricity to four provinces, namely Wau, Bor, Yambio and Rumbek.
The projects included the establishment of a power plant and electricity distribution grids in Wau extending around 100 kilometers and 19 transformers, he added. Three electricity stations 2.8 megawatts each were established in Bor, Yambio and Rumbek, he said, adding that local engineers were trained on operation and maintenance of the stations. |
