Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Dr. Hesham Kandil stressed the depth of Egyptian-Sudanese relations and described them as time-honored. In press statements, he added that the new regime in Egypt should exert efforts to prove that "Egypt and Sudan are one hand". Qandeel underlined the good Egyptian-Sudanese ties, adding that bilateral trade, opening roads and crossings, setting up corporations and Sudan's allocation of farmland for Egyptian investment are all opportunities for integration.
