Annual Suez Canal tolls are expected to hit the $ 6 billion level in the next stage. This was reported in the media quoting General Ahmed Fadel, Chairman of SCA - Suez Canal Authority, indicating that the said toll for 2011 reached $ 5.2 billion. The executive praised all efforts spent by the Egyptian Armed Forces to secure navigation through the canal. Worth indicating that SCA has celebrated recently the 37th anniversary of the Canal after it has resumed its operations in 5 June 1975. Accumulated revenues of the canal during that period reached $ 75 billion.
