Dr. Kamal Al-Ganzoury Holds Meeting with SFD

Prime Minister, Dr. Kamal Al-Ganzoury, headed meeting of the new board of the Social Fund for Development “SFD”, in attendance of Ministers of Planning, Local Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, and Finance, General Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers, General Secretary of SFD, and members of SFD board. The meeting reviewed achievements and plans of the fund over the recent period, where the fund financed EGP 997.6 million allocated for small and micro seized enterprises.

The meeting confirmed the importance of considering the social dimension and operation over the coming phase, in addition to the economic role within a comprehensive national vision for small projects. The meeting also directed for the necessity of focusing on the fund’s role in developing the industrial sector, and for studying the finance amount in new projects.

Dr. Al-Ganzoury called for the importance of developing the unofficial sector to be transferred to official one, developing the non-financial services and role of services complex and developing the field inspection of projects. The meeting praised the fund’s role in activating the high employees programme in infrastructure and societal projects where the fund contracted with governorates on implementation of 16 projects for provision of 220,000 jobs amounting to EGP 46.2 million.
