His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, received at As-Salam Palace in Jeddah (30-7-1433) Mr. Leon Panetta, U.S. Secretary of Defense, and the accompanying delegation. At the outset of the audience, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud welcomed U.S. Secretary of Defense and appreciated his visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The U.S. Secretary of Defense conveyed the greetings of U.S. President Barack Obama and his apology for not attending. He also conveyed condolences of the President, government and people of USA on the death of His Royal Highness Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, emphasizing the depth of bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America.
