Ganzouri Urges Upping Investments for Nile Basin Countries

Prime Minister Dr. Kamal El-Ganzouri stressed the need to provide technical support and assistance to Nile Basin countries in the domains of training and infrastructure while providing facilities for Egyptian businessmen to start joint projects in the Nile Basin countries and work to increase the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and other Nile Basin countries.

This comes in view of the importance of developing relations between Egypt and the other Nile Basin countries, where the total volume of cooperation between Egypt and the Nile Basin countries in the Nile water sector reaches USD 180 million.

For his part, Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr said that Egypt has prepared a list of projects under the "Egyptian initiative for development of Nile Basin countries" in view of communications made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with those countries.
