The Follow-up Committee for the Implementation of President's Initiatives has given the final approval for a number of development projects in various emirates at a total cost of AED 200m. The Committee held a meeting at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister Ahmed Juma Al Zaabi to review the projects, which are implemented as per the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The projects visualised for the welfare of the citizens is followed up by General His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
The Committee approved the award of projects which included supplementary works at the Rashid Abdullah Omran Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah at a cost of over AED 118 million and the construction of the Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Marine Research Centre in Umm Al Quwain at a cost of AED 73 million. The Committee also awarded the works of increasing the capacity of Owais Dam in the Emirate of Fujairah a cost of AED 16 million.
