Prime Minister, Dr. Kamal Al-Ganzoury, held meeting of the committee concerned with developing small and medium industrial constructions, in attendance of Ministers of Electricity, Housing, Tourism, Local Development, Industry, Communications, Finance, Education, Higher Education, Manpower, General Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers, Head of the General Authority for Investments and Free Zone 'GAFI', and General Secretary of the Social Fund for Development 'SFD'.
Upon meeting, the Minister of Housing, Industry and SFD General-Secretary stated that the meeting tackled importance of supporting small and medium productive and services industries as it help providing jobs for youth. The meeting recommended the following; • The necessity of supporting small and medium constructions and projects. • Stressing the importance of small projects as being the main and renaissance of economy and development. • Calling all ministries to establish specialized units for supporting small constructions, and setting new vision meeting the global demands. • The necessity of following-up and determining small industrial projects, and making central database to recognize all problems and finding solutions. • Ministries shall provide appropriate legislations and policies to support small projects and refer them to the decision makers. • Setting public policies needed to transfer the unofficial sector to official one. • The necessity of SFD coordination with GAFI and concerned authorities to provide subsidy needed for these small projects |
