Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Fayza Abul Naga on 11/7/2012 held talks with Dutch Ambassador in Cairo Susan Blankhart on the occasion marking the end of the ambassador's tour of duty. In press statements after the talks, Abul-Naga said the two sides took up means of boosting cooperation in the economic and scientific domains.
Egypt and Holland have been bound by strong relations since 1975, said Abul Naga, citing joint agreements on financial and technical cooperation whereby Egypt obtained Dutch assistance to the value of 348.7 million Euros. The funds were channeled into financing development projects in the sectors of agriculture, irrigation, industry, health, transport, electricity and education, she added.
