Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Dr. Salah Abdel Mo'men affirmed that the government has outlined an integrated plan for developing Sinai as soon as possible as a matter of national security of Egypt. The plan includes reclamation and cultivation of 200,000 acres in central Sinai, which is the first step of the reclamation project of million acres over five years in five regions of Southeast Qattara, Northwest Coast, Northwest Owainat, Toshka and the central axis in Sinai, which ensures resettlement of about one million citizens in every region. The minister said that cooperation protocols will be signed in the coming weeks with about 150 foreign, Arab and Egyptian investors to participate in the project.
