H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai inaugurated today the "'Big 5 Exhibition'', the largest building and construction show in the Middle East '&' North Africa (MENA) here at Dubai World Trade Centre. Following ribbon-cutting, Sheikh Maktoum toured the exhibition halls of the expo, which will run until Thursday. He was briefed on exhibits that include equipments and technologies used in construction sector as well as green building requirements that preserve the environment.
The exhibition in its 30th edition is the biggest and the largest destination for exhibitors and the spaces and modern techniques that are being displayed for the first time in the region. More than 3000 companies representing about 70 countries. The UAE is participating along with 30 other national pavilions in the show. The event serves as a platform for the construction industry to display the latest trends and technologies available to the market and allows professionals to network, develop their business and cultivate new opportunities. Last year, The Big 5 attracted 50,275 participants from across the Middle East and this number is expected to be surpassed this year. |
